Question by ned: Can the nook read kindle books?
If I buy a kindle book from Amazon, is it possible to read the book on my nook? If it can’t read them natively, is there some way I can convert the kindle book file into a nook compatible one? Thanks.
Best answer:
Answer by Nookboards Unfortunately as has been stated the Kindle books cannot be read on the nook. The reason however is that Kindle books are DRM’d to only be read for the specific Kindle that is associated with the account that bought the book. However, there are plenty of sites that are not Barnes & Noble that will work with the nook. Unlike the Kindle, the nook has the ability to read books that are DRM’d with Adobe Digital Reader, this means that you could buy your books at stores like Kobo books or the Sony store (the books that are in ePub format) and be able to read them on your device.
Hope that helps!
