Too shiny for Kindle

Applying the screen was no problem, it was no more difficult than installing any other screen protector or skin. The trouble is, this "Ultra-clear" protector actually increses glare dramatically. The Kindle's screen is very low-glare, but adding this protector made my Kindle way too shiny. It's a nice, bright, glossy film of plastic that might work well on a laptop or iPhone, but for a black-and-white screen that you're supposed to read from any angle, this is the wrong product. Maybe the JavoEdge anti-glare screen protector is the way to go. When I destroy this screen protector and need a new one, I'll give that one a try.

A Waste Of Money

The directions for applying this screen protector say to do it in a dust free area, but I don't live in a "clean room" (only used to work in one). And that is what would be required to apply this film without bubbles and tiny specks. The tiniest little dust spec (or, God forbid, a dog hair) stick to the film and make it impossible to apply to your Kindle screen without defects that make reading the screen very annoying and distracting. Once a dust mote or speck is on the film, it is impossible to remove from the film(and leaves a dull spot around the speck if you try).

At least I could get it off of the Kindle screen without leaving any residue on my Kindle.

I'll just keep my Kindle safe in a jacket and try to avoid scratching the screen, but this was a huge waste of money and VERY frustrating. LEARN from my mistake and DON'T buy this product unless you have a Class 1000 clean room in which to apply it.
