Everything You Need to Know About The Kindle

I received a Kindle 1 as a birthday gift back in November and followed the simple Amazon directions to download books and then read them. This worked. However, when I went to the Amazon website and read conversations with people that were doing more with the Kindle than I could understand, I purchased Windwalker's book. His ad offered information about "more" ways to use this revolutionary toy and I wanted more. His first book opened the door to understanding how this not just a reader, but a mini computer capable of bringing a huge world of books and information to my fingertips. Now my Kindle experience was great.
By the time Kindle 2 came out, I was way hooked on this product, bought it and of course then immediately read his Kindle 2 information. Although I really enjoyed the struggle related to Kindle 1 (I have been working with computers since the early 80's) - his Kindle 2 book puts readers just a tiny click away from anywhere they want to go and any books they want to read on this marvelous machine. Now the experience was terrific.
Windwalker has made it easy to enjoy all the benefits of the Kindle 1 and 2. His advice and ideas are very valuable and the links are perfect. By the way, I'm a 73 year old woman and I find everything about this technology fantastic.

I ordered The Complete User's Guide to the Amazing Amazon Kindle II the same day I found out that my husband had ordered my Kindle. I had already relied on Stephen's advice for my original Kindle, and knew he would have excellent tips and explanations for the new version.
His included links turned out to be a double bonus. I refer to the book often, and really feel that it has enhanced my usage of the Kindle. This book really is a must have for any Kindle owner who wants to get the most of their ereader! |
Excellent even for techno-savvy folks

| I've worked in the computer industry for over 30 years, and usually have no problems figuring out how to use technology related products, and so I wasn't sure if I would need Stephen's guide. I was pleasantly surprised not only at the quality of writing, but also in the detailed lists of links and features of the Kindle 2 that I could not find documented elsewhere. Just the tips on the best ways for setting up the Kindle browser and how move over photos was worth it. So, even if you are good with technology related products, you'll save time with Stephen's guide. |
Thank you for this Guide!

| My new Kindle 2 actually arrived a day earlier than I expected and I love it. However, I knew that I didn't really have time to do the exploring on my own so started looking for a guide. I knew I'd made the right choice when a "Click Here" didn't connect and I sent an email to the author and received a message back in less than twenty-four hours. That problem has been removed already. He also allows us to download the book to a computer letting us read his instructions/suggestions and play with the Kindle at the same time. I have joined Kindle Nation and am happy with the entire Kindle experience. I'm out of the country right now and the instructions to download to my computer and then to the Kindle have been a lifesaver. It's so easy to read all that I want and not have to worry about finding the books and disposing of them when I finish. Luggage is meant for clothing. The Kindle makes it easy to travel and still relax with a favorite read. The Guide makes it all that much easier. Thank you, Stephen Windwalker!! |
An indispensable resource!

| Steve Windwalker's Complete User's Guide To The Amazing Amazon Kindle 2 is an indispensable resource. I found the book to be entertainingly well written and easy to use in finding answers to my questions about the Kindle 2. Being completely new to the Kindle e-book reader, I did not experience the minor problems mentioned by some reviewers. Steve's contributions to Kindle users go far beyond his very affordable readers' guide. Regular updates to the guide, a web site, newsletter and, as time permits, responses to e-mails make him the Kindle guru! |
